Obituary in honour of Prof.Dr. Josef Bugl

Prof. Dr. Josef Bugl was appointed Dean of Class VI in 1998. To further develop the European Academy into a working academy, he

promoted with great dedication the establishment of the EASA Institute for Advanced Studies on Sustainability, which continues to operate today under the name "International Expert Group on Earth System Preservation" (IESP). IESP is his legacy and our commitment.
